Tartu - the oldest town in Estonia, first mentioned in 1030 is especially famous for it's university. Tartu University was founded in 1632 by Gustaf Adolf II, the King of Sweden. The most beautiful part of the city Toomemägi – the green part with the ruins of Dome Church, neo-classical Town Hall, St. John’s Church, Museum of the History of Tartu University, Devil’s Bridge and Angel’s Bridge, Observatory.
